"I come from a proud union family that has been involved in public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to continue to improve our schools and recreation space. We need to work hard to ensure we care for our veterans. All of these things can be accomplished if we work together. I will ensure that we have reasonable solutions that can work for all members of District 28.

 LIST OF ISSUES

EDUCATION

I truly believe in our education system and my friends and neighbors who work and teach in it.  I believe in investing in our future, which starts with our children. I am committed to ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education, regardless of their zip code. support increased funding for public schools, better pay for teachers, and modernizing classrooms to provide a conducive learning environment. Additionally providing more opportunities and resources for kids that want to enter trades.

RECREATION

Sports and recreation played an important part in my childhood and in a time with more options for our children we need to provide them with. I recognize the importance of sports and recreational activities in our community—for health, teamwork, and youth development. I will be working to secure funding for local sports programs and facilities, ensuring that everyone can participate in sports. Especially in underserved communities where participation in youth sports is well below 50 percent. Many states have made large investments in recreation since covid has shown us the effects of isolation in our youth.

HEALTHCARE

Access to affordable healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I will be fighting for comprehensive healthcare reform to lower costs, expand coverage, and improve the quality of care. I believe in protecting pre-existing condition coverage and making prescription drugs more affordable. My family has been fortunate to get some of the best care around when we needed it most. I will focus on making sure more people get the care needed, but also that the people that provide that care are given the tools they need and compensated appropriately for the amazing and carting work they perform.

ENVIRONMENT

Our planet's health is at the forefront of my agenda. I want  to advocate for sustainable practices, renewable energy, and protecting our natural resources.  in favor of legislation to reduce carbon emissions and promote green jobs. We should be prioritzing green jobs in our trades and provide paths towards those roles in both public and secondary schools in RI.

BUSINESS

In every neighborhood, there are small businesses that serve as the heartbeat of our community. These are the places where we gather, share stories, and make memories. Many of these businesses are owned and operated by our friends and family. Having lived in Cranston my whole life and being a 3rd generation resident has created deep ties to this local business. Family-owned businesses are what makes Rhode Island special, and I want to focus on initiatives that will encourage the creation of new ones and foster the existing ones.
